SUN Telecom’s SUN-GE8102R series EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) equipment
is suitable for supplying high-speed, wide overlay fiber access network. It consists of
SUN-GE8102R series OLT (Optical Line Terminal), SUN-GE8200 series ONU (Optical
Network Unit) and ODN (Optical Distribution Network).

1. SUN-GE8102R OLT
SUN Telecom's SUN-GE8102R is small OLT equipment with dual ports, It can cooperate
with SUN-GE8200 series Optical Network Unit (ONU) to form an EPON network
through fiber and Passive Optical Distribution Network (ODN). This OLT with 1U height, supporting
maximum 2 PON system, while supporting maximum 64 ONU Devices.
As the upgrade product of SUN-GE8100R OLT Equipment, This product adapts small fiber accessing networks, such as towns, vilages. which don't have too much subscriber. This OLT also applied in FTTx, Fiber to the home (FTTh) projects, IP phone and IPTV services.

Features and Functions:
Large capacity and long transmission distance
SUN-GE8102R is small OLT equipment, supporting 2 PON systems and 64 remote ONU equipments and ensuring 10 to 20km transmission distance under high bandwidth. It is able to supply transmit function at L2/L3 wire speed. Each PON line supports 1Gbps up link and down link symmetrical bandwidth.
High QoS
Each PON system supports maximum 256 Logical Link Identifier (LLID) and adopts AES-128 encryption to each Logical Link Identifier; supporting Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA). Flexible bandwidth management function supplies debugging to different data stream through queue, minimal and maximal bandwidth control and different stream weighting coefficient to fully guarantee QoS.
Flexible dynamic bandwidth allocation
SUN-GE8102R OLT can implement any change from 1M to 1G access bandwidth, supporting Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) according to changeable requirement of the customer and related service.
Powerful OAM traits
SUN-GE8102 OLT supports auto-discovery and auto-register, user line testing, remote ONU fiber failure and power failure alert. It also contains abundant operation and manageable features such as MAC address limited and leached, IP address limited and leached, bandwidth control, VLAN, flow control.
Perfect network management function
a) Support convenient and simple CLI command line management;
b) Support Telnet GUI management based on CLI;
c) Support unified network management of GUI based on SNMP;
d) Provide centralized management, Telnet supervising, Telnet debugging and maintenance,
and Telnet network upgrade.
